The 8650 Starting Step has a 17 1/2" large diameter tread. The depth of the tread is 11 1/4". The large starting step works well with box newels and larger handrail profiles such as the 6710.  This beautiful piece can be ordered as a single end or double end step.

Riser height is 7 1/2", tread is 1" thick, overall height is 8 1/2".

Special options for starting steps:
All starting step treads can be hand scraped for an addtional 30%.
All starting step risers can be made paint grade for a 20% saving.
