Newels are the pieces in stairways where the handrails are firmly mounted and then the newel is mounted into the floor. A newel mounted kit is highly recommend to create rigidity. Iron newels are powder-coated the same color as the iron balusters and blend seamlessly. Iron newels are great design features in homes when the baluster pattern is the focal point and the designer does not want a wood newel to break the continuity of the iron baluster pattern.
