Can I use wider glass panels, say 8’, w 3 or 4 side mount spigots per panel or are they always installed as pairs? Could 2 spigots support panels sized 64”w x 42 tall?

Hi Peter,

I consulted with our glass team and they have confirmed that any panel over 4 feet wide should use 3 of the side-mount talon spigots, if you went up to 8 feet we suggest using 4 or 5 spigots depending on weight of the panel. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us at (866) 226-6536.

Thanks,

Is there a max height of the glass recommended for this? I assume 36″, but can this handle a commercial sized railing for U.S. standards of 42″?

Hi Ben,

I spoke with one of our glass specialists, we do not recommend using side mount talon spigots with glass panels that are taller than 42″ above the finished floor. If you have any other questions, feel free to call in and we can get you in touch with one of our glass specialists.
