Key Features

• Side Mount Talon Spigot is made from 2205 Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance in any environment. .
• Designed for either 1/2″ tempered glass or 9/16” laminated glass panels. Does not require any holes to be drilled in the glass.
• Two talon spigots can support up to a 4′ panel of glass.
• Talon Spigots have built-in Tilt-Lock feature, which enables easier aligning of glass during installation.

Tilt Lock Technology

Perfecting the alignment of your glass panels can be a big headache. Even after installation, high winds can ruin the positioning – or worse, shatter the panels.

The Tilt Lock Technology found in the Side Mount Talon Spigots gently grips the glass during installation. Adjust the panels until they are precisely positioned, then lock down the clips, securing the glass in place.

This revolutionary technology also helps relieve the trouble caused by high winds. Tilt Lock technology allows the glass panels to flex ever so slightly, maintaining panel alignment and reducing the risk of shattered glass. Even if weather causes the system to shift around, re-aligning the disrupted glass panels is a breeze.

Installing glass can be tricky. Keep the process simple with Tilt Lock Technology.

I am a structural engineer designing a structure that this “Side Mount Talon Spigot” (and glass railing) product is intended to be connected to. Do you have any technical information or cut sheets you could share with me? Specifically, I am looking for the exact vertical dimension between the two connection points on the bracket and some detail about how they might potentially be connected to steel vs. wood (assuming that’s feasible). Thank you.

Can I use wider glass panels, say 8’, w 3 or 4 side mount spigots per panel or are they always installed as pairs? Could 2 spigots support panels sized 64”w x 42 tall?

1 year 8 months ago

Hi Peter,

I consulted with our glass team and they have confirmed that any panel over 4 feet wide should use 3 of the side-mount talon spigots, if you went up to 8 feet we suggest using 4 or 5 spigots depending on weight of the panel. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to us at (866) 226-6536.

Is there a max height of the glass recommended for this? I assume 36″, but can this handle a commercial sized railing for U.S. standards of 42″?

Hi Ben,

I spoke with one of our glass specialists, we do not recommend using side mount talon spigots with glass panels that are taller than 42″ above the finished floor. If you have any other questions, feel free to call in and we can get you in touch with one of our glass specialists.
